For the first time since joining forces, ADB Safegate attended the annual Dubai Airport show at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) between May 9 and 12. The show was attended by over 7,500 people from all over the world and featured  over 300 global leading companies. The exhibition is the world’s largest annual airport event.

Temperatures rising up to staggering 40 degrees Celsius didn’t stop anyone in Dubai for attending the 16:th annual airport show between May 9 – 12. In our first joint showcase since the merger, ADB Safegate was displaying the industry’s largest portfolio of intelligent solutions for the airfield, gate and tower, and our expertise in integration, turnkey projects, services and maintenance. Visitors learned how ADB Safegate brings these together to increase throughput with existing infrastructure and enhance airport performance around safety, efficiency and sustainability.

Exactly how our solutions can help your airport seize opportunities and resolve key challenges to maximize throughput was explained by our own expert Roy Bolwede, GM Airport & ATM Operations Solutions. Roy was one of the key speakers at the innovation podium where experts were invited to present relevant topics for the aviation industry. During his presentation about “Beating the Capacity Crunch”, Roy talked about how airports can increase throughput with existing infrastructure. Using real life examples, Roy illustrated a new view on how to increase capacity without any unnecessary investments by instead using the existing operational setup.

The presentation was well received and many people dropped by our booth for futher discussions, and our salespersons who were ready to answer questions about how  airports can benefit by partnering with ADB Safegate. We have been present in Dubai since 1997 and our Middle East operations consist of 200 colleagues who are continuing to work hard to develop this critical market.
