ALIS

The ADB SAFEGATE solution ALIS guides you through the digital transformation process for all airfield relevant maintenance and asset management activities. It starts with simplifying the creation of your installed base information. ALIS helps optimizing your maintenance schedules, it keeps records of the asset status for the maintenance provider, it helps monitoring the progress of sub contractors involved, and of course documents and reports the activities for the end user.

Digitization and Digitilization are often used as synonyms. However, there are important differences. Digitization subsumes all activities to go from paper and ‘analog’ data to digital acquisition, data management, data storage, etc. It is all about the data itself. Digitilization however means to also lift up the related business processes into a digital era, using ever-developing tools. And here is where it is decided if digitization and digitalization just bring another layer of complexity and administrative tasks (“I did this for 20y and now I need twice the time”) or if digital transformation increases efficiency, accuracy, transparency, makes work more effortless etc. (“Happy to leave planning and documentation to the system”). In addition, it is at this stage where digital transformation can – from the perspective of customer experience (CX) – become a delighter or turn into a distractor (“I get tons of data now but zero information”).

The ADB SAFEGATE solution ALIS guides you through this process for all airfield relevant maintenance and asset management activities. It starts with simplifying the creation of your installed base information. ALIS helps optimizing your maintenance schedules, it keeps records of the asset status for the maintenance provider, it helps monitoring the progress of sub contractors involved, and of course documents and reports the activities for the end user.

The Greek ADB SAFEGATE asset management team is the second ADB SAFEGATE team after Turkey that transformed their maintenance activities into a digital wold using the ADB SAFEGATE solution ALIS. 4 out of 16 airports where ADB SAFEGATE is involved in preventive and corrective maintenance are already moved to ALIS. The remaining 12 airports will follow in the coming three months. Accelerated by the COVID-19 break, such short transition times can only happen with systems and teams specialized on airfields and experience in harmonizing maintenance activities over multiple sites. And all lessons learned are feed back for further developments of ALIS which will be made available to those end-customers already relying their operations on ALIS.

Continuing the digital transformation, the next steps for ADB SAFEGATE Service and Asset Management after the integration of ALIS will be to monitor the asset live status in the Network Operation Center (NOC) of ADB SAFEGATE.
