Birmingham Airport has chosen ADB SAFEGATE, to install its Integrated Tower Solution to enable A-CDM and improve real-time information shared between airport stakeholders ─ airlines, ground handlers and air traffic control. Greater predictability is only one of the expected outcomes.
ADB SAFEGATE will introduce a brand new integrated management solution at the French airports Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and ORLY (ORY). As a component of the A-CDM process, new apron management systems and docking systems will be implemented at both airports with a potential of up to 450 units, maintained and supported to enhance airport throughput, tackle congestion, optimize airport transit process efficiency and strengthen the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) process and the predictability for the Network Manager at these airports.
Austria‘s biggest ever airshow, AIRPOWER, held from September 2-3, saw participation from around 240 aircraft from 20 countries in the varied static and flying displays. With over 300,000 visitors gathering for the enthralling airshow, the flight tower orchestrated the show supported by tower solutions from ADB Safegate.
UK. Leeds Bradford Airport, which serves 3.5 million passengers per year, has upgraded its Air Traffic Control systems to support its ambitious draft Masterplan proposals to deliver 7.1 million passengers annually by 2030. The Airport boosts air traffic capacity with advanced Air Traffic Control technology from ADB Safegate.
Anticipating an increase in air traffic, Singapore’s Changi Airport, which currently operates with two runways, plans to add a third runway as part of the Changi East Development Project. The airport will install new airfield specialized systems including airfield lighting, surveillance and detection equipment for the third runway and ADB Safegate has been chosen to supply Changi Airport with the latest LED airfield lighting equipment for this purpose.
Perth Airport is one of the most isolated airports in the world. Although the airport only has around 10 days with Low Visibility Operations (LVO) per year, the diversions are costly for airlines and inconvenient for passengers. ADB SAFEGATE is working together with Perth Airport, Airservices and West Coast Civil to weather proof the airport through an upgrade of its lighting infrastructure which will allow for Category III landings and make diversions a thing of the past.
Tom Duffy, from the ADB Safegate Americas’ team has been elected to serve on the Airports Council International World Business Partners Advisory Board. His term began on July 1 and runs through the end of 2018.
On June 7-8 ADB Safegate attended the British Irish Airports Expo in Birmingham, U.K. This was the first time the event has been held, and attracting 1,500 attendees across the two days from many regions. For ADB Safegate, Regardt Willer, General Manager for the U.K. market, the main subject for the event was to reconnect with our customers in this key market, and now as one brand remind them that we are a local organisation with local customers.
