Noida International Airport selects ADB SAFEGATE’s cutting edge Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System and Apron Management System

 

NOIDA. ADB SAFEGATE  is excited to announce its contract to supply the Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS) and Apron Management System for Noida International Airport (NIA) in Uttar Pradesh, India. This greenfield airport project is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a 100% subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG.


ADB SAFEGATE will implement its latest and advanced Airside 4.0 technology, including the state-of-the-art FLEX A-VDGS with multicolor display and the latest and most comprehensive Apron Manager system. These technologies are designed to improve operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability at Noida International Airport.

The project includes the supply and installation of ADB SAFEGATE’s latest FLEX A-VDGS, featuring enhanced RIDS capabilities, and the latest Apron Manager—one of the most advanced apron management products on the market today. ADB SAFEGATE will manage supply and terms, installation will be handled by our partners AMA. The project timeline is in alignment with the airport’s development plans.

Noida International Airport, located in Uttar Pradesh near New Delhi, is a major addition to India’s aviation infrastructure. Developed by the Zurich group, it represents Zurich Airport International AG’s first fully-owned project in India, expanding their global footprint.

ADB SAFEGATE has a long-standing relationship with Zurich Airport International AG, having previously supplied VDGS systems for Zurich Airport. This new project at Noida International Airport strengthens this collaboration and highlights ADB SAFEGATE’s expertise in delivering innovative airside solutions.

About Noida International Airport 

Noida International Airport (DXN) will connect the greater Delhi area and Western Uttar Pradesh with other cities in India and the world. This world-class airport will combine Swiss efficiency and Indian hospitality to offer rich experiences and comprehensive commercial attractions and services to its passengers. At its opening, the airport will feature one runway and one terminal and handle a capacity of 12 million passengers – with the potential for further development in additional construction phases.

Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) was established for the development, construction and operation of the greenfield project – the Noida International Airport. The company, a 100% subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, is responsible for the implementation of the public-private partnership project in close partnership with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government of India. The concession period for Noida International Airport commenced on October 01, 2021 and will run for 40 years.
