DIGITAL APRON. Safety on the ground is a top priority for airports and airlines. More than 27,000 ramp incidents and accidents happen each year according to IATA, but did you know that many of these could be prevented with an automated approach to parking aircraft? Safedock A-VDGS and SafeControl Apron Management provide safe and efficient docking at airports worldwide.
VIDEO. As more people fly, airports face growing pressure. This is having a deep impact on the apron and gate areas, where multiple activities must be choreographed to turn aircraft around safely and rapidly. Watch the video where ADB SAFEGATE´s global project owner for gate solutions, Peter Håkansson presents Safedock X and the new SAM as part of ADB SAFEGATE digital Apron Vison.
PRESS RELEASE. Hamburg Airport is optimizing its apron infrastructure to improve operational efficiency. The airport, has once again, selected ADB SAFEGATE to supply and install its Safedock T1 Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems (A-VDGS) and extend the SafeControl Apron Management (SAM) system. This setup will help the airport to improve predictability, minimize turnaround time, and reduce delays.
PRESS RELEASE. At inter airport Europe 2019, ADB SAFEGATE will show how airports can transform their performance by integrating and unleashing the power of data. We are bringing together the solutions and partners that will help airports build a more efficient future, one in which intelligent integration and automation will create smarter, more tightly integrated airport processes and systems.

The Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) has made unbelievable progress in the 20 years since it started operations. Today, it is one of the busiest international hubs of mainland China, ranking 9th in terms of passenger traffic globally. The airport is one of the pioneer airports in China to use ADB SAFEGATE Solutions’ technologies. Pudong satellite terminal is now put into operation with 90 ADB SAFEGATE Safedock T1 installed to help operational burden at the airport.
AIRPORT SUCCESS STORY. Automated docking helps mitigate delays and disruption during thunderstorm events at Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport by bringing aircraft into the gate and deplaning passengers during periods when the ramp is closed to ground personnel due to lightning. Automation and improved information sharing to streamline gate operations and traffic flow during regular and irregular operations Continue reading
Aiming to improve operational efficiency and safety at Toronto Pearson International Airport has led its operator to choose ADB SAFEGATE’s Safedock T1 A-VDGS, or Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System. A leading airport in the Middle East has partnered with ADB SAFEGATE for gate maintenance services, to improve airport performance. The airport serves as a hub in the region and supports more than 37 million passengers annually. Downtime and system failure are issues that the airport can ill afford, and as the Original Equipment Manufacturer and supplier of the airport’s gate solutions, ADB SAFEGATE is best equipped to guarantee availability on these critical systems.
ADB SAFEGATE will introduce a brand new integrated management solution at the French airports Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and ORLY (ORY). As a component of the A-CDM process, new apron management systems and docking systems will be implemented at both airports with a potential of up to 450 units, maintained and supported to enhance airport throughput, tackle congestion, optimize airport transit process efficiency and strengthen the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) process and the predictability for the Network Manager at these airports.
