PXT-2017

ADB SAFEGATE is showcasing its integrated gate and tower solutions at Amsterdam’s Passenger Terminal Expo from March 14 – 16.  We´re at Booth #2080 at the show to help you improve safety, predictability and throughput.

ADB SAFEGATE is the market leader in docking guidance systems with 45 of the 50 largest airports in the world using Safedock A-VDGS. The company’s Safedock Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS) and SafeControl Apron Management system use automation and integration to create a safe, smooth gate operation that shortens turnaround times, eases congestion and increases gate capacity.

Company’s Virtual Reality gate experience at the Passenger Terminal Expo demonstrates how airports can achieve smooth and safe docking operations:

“Today, most airport accidents occur at the gate and apron area, and safety is a challenge in these confined areas. We believe automation and integration can reduce complexities at the gate and in the tower,” said Christian Onselaere, CEO, ADB SAFEGATE. “Our gate and tower solutions improve situational awareness and improve traffic flow from arrival to departure to enable airports to maximize safety and performance.”

Safedock A-VDGS automates and speeds up the docking process, enabling aircraft to be parked faster in virtually all weather conditions. Ensuring aircraft/gate compatibility, verifying the passenger boarding bridge (PBB) position and scanning the apron for vehicles or other objects improve safety. Together with SafeControl Apron Management, Safedock A-VDGS helps track the progress of the aircraft turn and shares valuable information with all stakeholders to streamline and shorten the turnaround. The A-VDGS supports tower surface surveillance systems by tracking aircraft movement within the gate area on arrival and during pushback and sending position details to the tower via SafeControl Apron Management. By collecting and sharing information with tower and airfield in real time, the gate and apron area becomes a part of ADB SAFEGATE’s integrated solution to improve airport performance, from approach to departure.

The company is also displaying its integrated tower portfolio* which provides intelligent routing and guidance with full control at the tower, and enables Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) to improve predictability and efficiency in traffic flows. One of the highlights is its latest solution – Integrated Controller Working Position (CWP)** which incorporates multi-functional and important Air Traffic Control tower systems into a user-friendly single screen to enhance safety and efficiency.

Visitors to the ADB SAFEGATE booth can experience, through an interactive virtual reality demo, how fast, safe and efficient docking is achieved when Safedock A-VGDS is linked to SafeControl Apron Management.

Proven and reliable, Safedock A-VDGS are installed on 7000 gates at more than 200 of the world’s largest airports including JFK International, Paris CDG, Heathrow, Schiphol, Dubai, Perth, Toronto, Chicago O’Hare, Cairo, Beijing, Shanghai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangkok and Changi.

*ADB SAFEGATE tower portfolio comprises an Advanced Surface Movement and Guidance Control System (A-SMGCS), called ACEMAX, Electronic E-strips (DIFLIS), Departure Manager (OPTAMOS) and Information System (INFOMAX).

**Integrated CWP is a single, user-friendly screen that allows air traffic controllers (ATCO) to view multiple functions – surveillance and airport safety support, routing and guidance service, workflow support, meteorological data, navaids status, and monitor and control AGL. This reduces ATCO workload, improving safety and efficiency.
