APRON. The apron is a bustling area of an airport where numerous operations occur, such as aircraft parking, servicing, refueling, and loading or unloading of passengers and cargo. Consequently, it’s crucial to adopt sustainable practices in apron operations to reduce environmental impacts, optimize efficiency, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
EVENT. Conference sessions at PTE address airport and airline business-critical issues and solutions, providing innovative ideas and progressive thinking for future development and proven measures for maintaining passenger satisfaction – all key to the industry’s future success. On Day 1 at 16:20 Ilya Burkin and Pritpal Roopra will present the Intelligent Apron.
INNOVATION. ADB SAFEGATE was part of a project team to deliver an Intelligent Apron at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Watch the 2-minute video produced by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) where Tom Duffy and members of AAAE’s Airport Consortium on Customer Trust (ACT) Program discuss the project piloted at DFW, which brought together video AI, apron systems, and other connected technologies to optimize operations, improve safety, and enhance the passenger experience.
CONFERENCE. The volatility of the many individual activities that support safe aircraft docking and management at the gate/stand can only be addressed with highly visible and well-developed tools that are sufficiently flexible and elastic. The Intelligent Apron uses automation, integration and digitization to optimize taxiing, docking and pushback procedures and improve the efficiency and elasticity of ground handling operations as a whole.
