PRESS RELEASE. At inter airport Europe 2019, ADB SAFEGATE announces one of the most advanced, flexible and adaptable multilateration (MLAT) products to improve approach and ground surveillance at airports. OneControl MLAT, as the name suggests, can be delivered as a component of ADB SAFEGATE’s OneControl Integrated Controller Working Position for the airport tower and guarantees a full and easy integration with the Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS).
Ever since the invention of powered human flight, there has been a need to provide places for these flying machines to take off and land. As technology advanced, the need for an aircraft to land in less than optimal daylight conditions led to the integration of lighting on the airfield. This, now, required the ability to turn these lights on when needed and off when not, leading to the creation of the Airfield Lighting Control System.Continue reading
AWARD. The Integrated Controller Working Position from ADB SAFEGATE – OneControl – has been nominated for this year’s Fast Forward Award, a business award for innovative products, chaired by the Styrian Research Society. The awards showcase which of today’s pioneering inventions can shape the world of tomorrow. Six companies are nominated in the same category as OneControl and ADB SAFEGATE. Continue reading
NEW VIDEO. Looking back at inter airport 2017 – a guided tour around the ADB SAFEGATE stand where we showcased integrated solutions to help airport boost performance. At every stage of the aircraft´s process from approach to departure, integrated solutions can achieve time savings to reduce the total amount of time aircraft spend on the ground, as well as improve the efficiency of airport resources to decrease costs. Watch Ieyasu Sugimoto, Global Product Manager ATC Solutions, explain how ADB SAFEGATE´s integrated airport solutions can help optimize operations and increase throughput.
INTEGRATION: Aircraft only make money for their airlines when flying and transporting people and goods. Airports also don’t want an aircraft on the ground for longer than necessary – that space and time could be occupied by another aircraft, making the most of the airport’s capacity. It’s no wonder that airports are increasingly turning to automation and information management systems to improve efficiency and safety and support Air Traffic Control (ATC).
ADB SAFEGATE is presenting integrated tower solutions at the World ATM Congress in Madrid from March 7 – 9. Tower solutions are an integral part of the Airport Performance strategy that extends across four domains – Gate, Tower, Airfield and Services. ADB SAFEGATE’s latest solution, the Integrated Controller Working Position (CWP), is showcased at the event. Continue reading
VIDEO. Imagine one integrated operational process from approach to departure. To make this a reality, such a solution must integrate and intelligently support many different guidance and traffic control functions, including tower control systems, airfield lighting, docking control and gate management. Watch our colleagues talk about how ADB SAFEGATE’s integrated airport solutions for gate, airfield and the tower can improve airport performance.
In the aviation industry staying abreast of the latest developments is imperative. ADB SAFEGATE’s series of specially designed dedicated training packages aim to improve and sustain the competence of airport staff, helping them perform their jobs better as well as reach their competency development and career advancement goals. Make sure to stay ahead of the learning curve in 2017. Apply for one of our courses in gate, airfield or ATC. Continue reading
Today is the “International Day of the Air Traffic Controller”, but at ADB SAFEGATE, we celebrate ATC every day. Our integrated tower solutions aim to make daily life at work easier for ATCOs. Air traffic controllers are keeping an eye on each and every aircraft movement across the airfield and local aerodrome, keeping 3.5 billion passengers safe in the sky. Continue reading
The tower is the brain of any airport. It’s at the centre of the action, with air traffic controllers keeping an eye on each and every aircraft movement across the airfield and local aerodrome. In the lead up to World ATM Congress in Madrid, the biggest exhibition in Europe for ATC, Safegate Group CEO, Per-Olof Hammarlund, describes Safegate’s long-held dream to be a part of the tower operations.
