To get a better understanding we asked ADB SAFEGATE´s Regional Sales Director, Tack Wee Tan. The Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) has made unbelievable progress in the 20 years since it started operations. Today, it is one of the busiest international hubs of mainland China, ranking 9th in terms of passenger traffic globally. The airport is one of the pioneer airports in China to use ADB SAFEGATE Solutions’ technologies. Pudong satellite terminal is now put into operation with 90 ADB SAFEGATE Safedock T1 installed to help operational burden at the airport.

CHINA. For some time, the Chinese market has been the largest single country market of our A-VDGS solutions, from the more than 8000 units sold worldwide one in eight goes to China. Our latest win is at the PuDong Airport for the Satellite Terminal A-VDGS project. In December 2017, we were awarded a contract to supply, deliver, install, test and commission 89 Safedock T1 A-VDGS and an apron management system. A Giant is rising at Daxing. The new airport in Beijing is planned for completion in May 2019 and will start trial operations late that year, according to China Daily.
