BRUSSELS. ADB SAFEGATE´s Martin Lopez Meijide recently attended the 120th Anniversary of Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management where he took the stage to present ADB SAFEGATE´s Airfield Lights Refurbishment Project. This project, led by Dustin Wittman is a part of the ADB SAFEGATE ESG strategy and one of many efforts toward our carbon neutrality commitment by 2024.
It was a fantastic opportunity to share my experience working with my Executive MBA colleagues Xavier Decock and Johann B. on the Airfield Lights Refurbishment Project of ADB SAFEGATE. ✈️💡 This project serves as a prime example of transitioning from a linear to a circular economy, driving change and promoting sustainability in the aviation industry. 🔄🌱
By refurbishing and repurposing airfield lights, we are not only reducing waste and consumption of resources, but also encouraging a more responsible and eco-friendly approach to airport infrastructure.
I am truly grateful to have been a part of the 120th Anniversary celebrations of the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
The event had the presence of special guests, including His Majesty the King Philippe of Belgium, Prince Laurent of Belgium and his family, Brussels’ Mayor Philippe Close, ULB authorities Rector Annemie Schaus and Chairman Pierre Gurdjian, and many other leaders who share a vision for a sustainable future.
During this event, I had the amazing opportunity to speak with Thomas Dermine 🤝 It was great to see our alignment on the need for a carbon tax, as explained in the talk given by Nobel Prize laureate Eric Maskin. 💬🏆
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Bruno van Pottelsberghe and Bruno Wattenbergh for providing me with this platform to showcase our efforts in creating a greener tomorrow. 🙏🏼🌍
Let’s continue to strive for a more sustainable world, one step at a time! 💚
