Peng at Inter Airport China

How do solutions for more efficient airports go hand in hand with sustainability? At the Swedish Pavilion at inter airport China, ADB Safegate’s Guan Peng recently presented the company’s perspective on sustainable airports, taking the audience through some of the key aspects of our solutions across the tower, gate and airfield that reduce carbon footprint.

The Chinese airport market will expand heavily in the next five years. A hundred existing airports have planned an upgrade of their infrastructure, 40 new airports are announced and passenger numbers are increasing by 10% yearly.

“ADB Safegate is ready to face this challenge,” said Guan Peng, General Manager, ADB Safegate China, during inter airport China. “Thanks to the joined forces of ADB and Safegate, we can offer our customers a complete solution for the Airfield, Gate and Tower. ADB Safegate is currently the only international active player on the Chinese market able to offer this. The complete portfolio in combination with a dedicated and specialized joined sales team is the perfect mix to help our customers grow.”

At the Swedish Pavilion, Guan Peng presented ADB Safegate’s perspective on sustainable airports, taking the audience through some of the key aspects of our solutions across the tower, gate and airfield that reduce carbon footprint. Energy-efficient LED lighting to reduce power consumption, Apron Management and docking systems as well as Tower solutions to help reduce fuel burn and emissions. Along with interesting references of successful projects at Lahore International, London Gatwick and Stockholm Arlanda, the session covered how concepts like Follow the Greens can reduce environmental impact.

During inter airport China, ADB Safegate showcased how Airport Performance can make airports more efficient and greener. This exhibition served as an important platform for us to meet our customers and share our vision and knowledge. The Follow-the-Green concept and the CRE regulator showcased at the booth, received lots of interest from the visitors.

A big thanks to everybody who visited us during this landmark event. I look forward to tackling the upcoming opportunities in the Chinese market.
