Hobart International Airport is one of the top ten busiest airports in Australia, is curfew-free and has had considerable growth over the past ten years. In 2012, the airport undertook a major runway and taxiway resurfacing project which included the replacement of the entire airfield lighting system including a new control system and the construction of a new Airfield Lighting Equipment Room (ALER). ADB SAFEGATE provides intelligent LED airfield lighting solutions to realize the energy potential of LED technologies in the airfield environment.

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport relies on ADB SAFEGATE’s integrated approach to modernize airfield

A mega renovation project is underway at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport since January 2013, which his is one of the world’s busiest airports and Taiwan’s busiest international airport.The project is an effort to modernize airport infrastructure as well as the airfield to make it safer and more reliable to support the rising volumes in air traffic at this major hub.

George Bush Intercontinental chose ASP-SafeControl because of universal compatibility

George Bush Intercontinental, Texas, USA

ADB SAFEGATE’s ASP-SafeControl solution has been installed as part of the runway guard light project at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas. This project is a key component of Houston’s strategy to prevent runway incursions that can endanger aircraft and ground vehicles. The contractor for the runway guard light project selected Safegate Group’s ASP-SafeControl system, largely because of its nearly universal compatibility with their own components such as regulators, light fixtures and the control system. Equally important was the successful track record of the ASP-SafeControl system at dozens of airports around the world under all kinds of airfield conditions.

Singapore Changi Airport

Singapore Changi Airport has two runways with a complex taxiway system connecting to three passenger terminals and one cargo terminal. The airport operates a wide variety of aircraft with approximately 735 movements a day. In 2012 the airport had 51.2 million passengers and over 320,000 aircraft movements. The airports annual growth is in excess of 5% and a third runway is planned for the future.

World leading climate work at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport

In November 2009 Stockholm-Arlanda was the first airport to reach the highest level (3+) of the environmental climate program called “Airport Carbon Accreditation” supported by Airport Council International Europe (ACI) and WSP Environmental. This program is based on ambitious environmental work within all areas at the airport, the cooperation with external partners and additional work with projects related to reduce CO2 emissions in less developed countries.

SafeLED IQ lighting to increase the runway safety at Geneva International Airport

At the start of the decade, the International Airport of Geneva decided to renovate its old parallel Airfield lighting circuits and employ a safer and more reliable architecture using series circuits. The single runway has 9 taxiway entries and the original design was to use interleaved circuits for each Stop-bar with two CCR’s per stop bar.

ADB SAFEGATE helps Victoria Falls Airport Improve Air Connectivity to one of the World’s Natural Wonders

The recently-commissioned Victoria Falls International Airport is among the three primary airports in Southern Africa that connects air travelers to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The airport chose ADB SAFEGATE for its expertise in airfield lighting turnkey projects to upgrade to a CAT II airfield, which can support long haul flights in all-weather conditions. The airport can now land larger international aircraft such as the Boeing 747 and Airbus A330 and weekly passenger arrivals are forecast to rise by 40 percent.
