Cross-silo operation, system integration and benefits from “follow the greens” were on the agenda when Safegate’s Roy Bolwede gave his presentation ”Airports and the ATM System – Where Next?” at the ATC Global Conference 2015 in Dubai. The international air traffic management community was gathered for a three-day seminar and exhibition where each continent and more than one hundred countries were represented.
With the Sustainable Innovation Forum COP21, hosted in Paris, just around the corner, Safegate Group is focusing on leaders in green business practices in the airport industry. Just like any other business, airports have to do their part to decrease their environmental impact. Aviation produces 2% of global CO2 emissions and airports are central actors in balancing the growing demand for air transportation and concerns of local communities on this issue. Aéroports de Paris (ADP) qualifies in more ways than one as a model airport for its commitment to sustainable and environmentally conscious business practices. Safegate Group’s Alexander Herring sat down with Didier Hamon, the General Secretary of ADP, to get insight into ADP’s success and future plans in environmental and sustainable development.

ADB SAFEGATE has been participating at Inter Airport Europe for many years. The 2015 event will take place on October 6-9. The Munich Trade Fair Centre will open the doors for the 20th anniversary edition of the event, renowned as the leading one-stop-shop event for the airport industry.
In July, 2015, ADB SAFEGATE proudly opened the doors of our newest office in Istanbul, Turkey. Situated in the main business district of Istanbul, on the European side of the city, this office marks the next step in ADB SAFEGATE’s long and proud history in Turkey.

Chicago’s first dedicated rotorcraft landing area officially opened on April 30 on the Chicago West Side. Nearly a decade in the making, Vertiport Chicago is said to be the largest vertical aircraft takeoff and landing facility of its kind in North America. The private facility offers a landing area for corporate helicopters, executive charters, sightseeing, emergency medical response traffic and police and fire department aircraft.
